Duncan was born in the Midwest in September 2003, so he just turned six this month. We have known Duncan since he came to New England at the age of 3 months. He has belonged to a family friend all this time who is no longer able to care for him. Duncan is currently fostering with the President of NSGSDR. He does great with our dogs (seven GSDs) and the foster collie, though we wouldn't say he has to be with other dogs. He completely ignores the cats, all five of them, though they are pushy with the dogs and get right in their faces. He is a little possessive of his things around our dogs, however one has to be around here otherwise someone will take your stuff! As far as interacting with people he is a very loveable guy who can really turn on the charm with those soft GSD eyes. Like most GSDs he does try to push some so he may not be a good fit for someone that does not have previous GSD experience. Duncan is crate trained (as are all North Star dogs) and does well on a leash.
